Known as a centre of excellence for teaching and learning, Vancouver Island University (VIU) is producing high calibre graduates who are in demand by employers across the country and around the world.
VIU operates four campuses including a main campus in Nanaimo and regional campuses in Duncan, Powell River and Parksville�Qualicum. VIU is also the proud owner of Milner Gardens and Woodlands in Qualicum Beach, recently named one of the top 10 best public gardens in Canada.
Villages Connected is honoring VIU for the great work it is doing to connect cultures from around the world. With a large international teacher & student population, refugee & international scholarship programs and a progressive global studies department, just to name a few, VIU is setting an example on how to foster an environment of understanding and collaboration.
